Chat - Can't delete Welcome channel

I would like to delete the initial Welcome chat channel but I keep getting an error.

Please allow ClickUp users/admins to have the ability to DELETE or RENAME the "#Welcome Channel". We would like to have full control over what channels/chats in our workspace. Doesn't make sense why ClickUp would want to strong arm us to using a "#Welcome Channel". Better for ClickUp users/admins to decide what channels we want on our own and what to name them.

We had an issue, where the channel changed the name back to the old workspace name. So at least renaming would be a great thing.

+1 this. Would like to be able to delete as we already have custom channels that handle this, and forcing an automatic channel that can't be deleted or renamed by the admin creates problems. If you won't allow to be deleted at least allow for it to be renamed

Hey, there! Transparently, this isn't something we'll be actioning on at this time, but can you expand on why you want to delete it?

Brendan W Because there is already a general channel for the company name, another one for the main space. If the #Welcome channel is obligatory, at least it should be possible to edit the topic and description which doesn't seem to be possible atm unless I have some permission issue, but I'm the owner.
Better question than why we'd want to delete it might be: Why would you want to strong-arm users into keeping it? Also, how is ClickUp using it? Maybe I can find some purpose for it...
