Add a way to see who has seen a message already and who hasn't (aka read-receipts)
Mark Khazanovich
Would love if CU Chat had a way to see who has seen a message already and who hasn't.
For businesses like ours that are distributed and complete work at different hours, read receipts are massively helpful in knowing when/when not to follow up (and not having them was probably the most frustrating thing about using slack)
I'd be okay if this were a ClickApp and were toggleable at the company level. A model to look at could be WhatsApp.

Thank you for all the feedback! We know this is a need for a lot of you, and we hope to be able to figure out when we can pick up this work soon!
Jackson James
Brendan W brilliant. Is it possible to mark this as “Planned”?
Brendan W
Jackson James Not quite yet! We're still a decent ways out but will update it when we know more.

Very necessary!!!

It is urgent to be able to see the messages read in the chat. This helps with the flow of communication, especially when following up on projects or details. It's basic, but very, very necessary
Eric Hauser
Seems like a very basic feature of most major chat/text apps. Crazy it wasn't implemented Day 1.

Hello, it is extremely important that we identify who has read the message and whether they are typing a message. What is the expected release of these resources?
Brendan W
Cinthia Antunes Manso: This is still in open status, so no immediate plans as we work on the foundation of Chat right now!
Tim Dreier
Brendan W We need that. This is an essential feature!

Brendan W We really need this feature!
Guillermo Sisterna
This feature of verifying that the person viewed the message is very necessary. Is there any news about whether this will be foreseen in the new chat?

Must have feature please!
I can only support 1,000% of this. A real problem in Slack, which is why there have been countless misunderstandings in our modern team organization, which is also spread out. Everything in one place is old school and out ;-)
As a result, colleagues repeatedly switch to WhatApp, which is of course not beneficial to the infostream.
Our current workaround, which is not met with much approval and use of “forget sorry” over and over again, is: we help ourselves cumbersome with agreed emojis to support an active “have seen and read”.
But to be honest, this cannot be a permanent solution.
So please dear CU-dev team, please release us users quickly from this shortcoming and the use of your cool CU system will be even better.
