Overdue tasks should be clearly visible and organized on mobile

Overdue items should show up in today section—even if also shown in overdue section—and be marked clearly (eg highlighted in pink). There should be an easy way to defer them until later, hide from today view, or change due date. In this context they’d also show up in calendar and agenda section on desktop, also marked in a unique way to distinguish them from non overdue items.

After upgrading to ClickUp 4.0 I was able to see Overdue at the top (Home/My Tasks), but I found a bug in the mobile app: when opening an item/event, an HTML snippet (“EmailQuote...”) appears on the screen, as a rendering error.
I've tried: update app + clear cache + logout/login (and it persists).
Device: Samsung S23 | ClickUp app: 6.5.7 | Android: 16
Is anyone else seeing this?

Hi, thanks for the message, but now the overdue tasks on mobile are completely mixed up. It lists 1,431 instead of 27 from this morning. In fact, when I click on overdue tasks, on the 27 are listed, it seems only the number is incorrect.
How can this be fixed?

With our new ClickUp 4.0 update, you can now see your Overdue at the top of Home, and at the top of the My Tasks page!
Overdue items are placed alongside items due Today so you can keep a close eye on what is important and reschedule items as needed. If you aren't seeing this yet, please update your app.
With these changes, I am marking this request resolved, but please let me know if there are other places in the app that you would like to see Overdue status more prominently.
Thanks everyone!

November 2025 update
Our new Mobile 4.0 update makes it much easier to see your Overdue items all in one place, and from Home. We are working on getting this update out to everyone. Stay tuned! If you are on the latest update, please let us know how we can make it work even better for you!

Joey give us the option to add filters on any of these sections, like we would do in a view (i.e. to exclude tasks that might be in a certain status so they don't clutter the overdue list if they have a problem of some sort)

Please revert the decision to show Today and Overdue items in one badge on the homepage together.
I want a clear badge of Today items and a separate Overdue one. Otherwise it makes Today's list of things very overwhelming seeing them together.
It was much better when Today and Overdue were separate.

Hello, for someone that has hundreds of overdue tasks is convenient to have the option to sort those tasks by showing recent first, I spend a lot of time scrolling down hundred tasks to get to me most recent one at the bottom. On previous versions of the iOS App recent overdue tasks where placed at the top which is the correct way to place the m because usually everyone is working with current relevant tasks that become overdue 1-2 days and you can quickly find them and change due dates, there is no reason to see first tasks overdone by months or even years when you have the task volume that I or my team has, now on newer versions of iOS app is organized the opposite way, this should be a configuration option not default in any way

The issue I saw is that if I have nothing today, it won’t show the overdue items there on the widget. There’s an argument to be made whether today or over due would be the priority if there were limited, but if there are overdue items, there shouldn’t be unused list space.
