Improve time tracking on mobile by reducing taps and increasing visibility

With the new App 3.0 interface, tracking time is a much worse experience.
This is a major problem, since time tracking is one of the main reasons to use the app.
Previously the workflow was a single tap on the nicely colored play button.
Now, when I open the task I can't even SEE the time tracking. I have to remember where it is, swipe all the way to the left in the top bar thing to see a dull, grey button (which doesn't even show how much time I've tracked), then tap twice to actually start the clock.
Continuing the theme, there is no indication within the task that it is the task I am currently tracking time to. Yes, you have the green bar at the top from before, but I have to read the task name to confirm where I'm at.
Finally, I have to swipe left and tap twice again to stop the clock.
How to fix it:
- Add a second row to that top bar of options, so that you can see time tracking immediately on opening a task.
- Lose the grey stopwatch + "Track Time" button and go back to a play button with numbers next to it showing time tracked so far.

Time Tracking Moves Location

Depending on the task/subtask, the time tracking button is in different locations. Seems random. Sometimes it's a clear field above the task description, sometimes you have to click the TINY green dot for auto time tracking to be able to record time. Please make it in a consistent location like it was before!

Yes, I fundamentally agree with this thread.
I believe the locations descripted in the screenshots should be clickable for easy access to tasks
Joey Please pass on this to the development team if I am not to late to point this

I would like to be able to push play on tracking time from the task to do list rather than needing to enter the task first

I saw new changes in the mobile app and most of them looks better.
These changes came with a big problem for us:
There is no Custom Fields in the task, neither time tracker.
I usually assign task to our team that needs to track the time to the task.
I have an automation that when you change the custom field ‘order Qty’ in the mobile it duplicates the task.
Even I need to see in the task the custom field location.

I agree that this is important. I would like to have the time tracking button on tasks be at the beginning of the side scroll menu like how it was in 2.0 since it becomes easier to track time

You should be able to stop and start tracking time without opening the modal (like Task view v2)
