Microsoft Teams integration 2.0
in progress
Tadej Jevševar
We've recently launched a new update to our Microsoft Teams integration packed with new features and improvements such as:
- Create ClickUp Tasks from Microsoft Teams channel
- Attach Microsoft Teams message to a ClickUp Task
- Rich Link Previews of ClickUp Tasks, comments, and Docs in Microsoft Teams
- Sync ClickUp activity with Microsoft Teams for specific Spaces, Folders, and Lists in your Workspace. ClickUp activities are sent as messages to Microsoft Teams public channel of your choice.
- Rich Link Preview of Teams URLs in ClickUp.
What's next?
- Support for Teams Tab (embed view): Support for adding a tab in a channel to view ClickUp inside Teams.
- Support for ClickUp Notifications to be sent to Teams.
- Support for Rich Previews of Teams meeting in ClickUp.
We want to make this integration work even better for you. Please share your ideas and suggestions on how we can further improve the ClickUp and Teams experience. When sharing, try to include your user story—describe what problems you’re trying to solve. Your feedback will help us prioritize features that make the biggest impact for your team.
Thank you for helping us shape the future of ClickUp’s Microsoft Teams integration!

Integrate Microsoft Teams and O365 Email with ClickUp Connected Search
J
Juan Carlos Lau
Connected search is a great feature, but currently is lacking integration with Microsoft Teams and O365 emails.
Having search capabilities to contents in Microsoft Teams channels, meetings, chats, etc. is crucial for finding information (similar to the Slack integration).
Extending the search capabilities to emails would also make this feature even more powerful.

How about Integrating Microsoft Teams with ClickUp Connected Search?
I created a feature request for it before finding this post <(_ _)>
Tadej Jevševar
Juan Carlos Lau: Thanks for creating your FR for MS Teams Connected Search. I am happy to say that we'll start working on it in a few weeks. I saw your post saying you would love to have search capabilities to contents in Microsoft Teams channels, meetings, chats, emails.
Can you please explain more what would you expect for Connected Search to find when searching for emails and meetings? Title of the email/meeting? Email attachments?
Looking forward for your feedback. Thanks!

Hello Tadej Jevševar
Pretty excited to hear this is in the horizon; it will greatly improve productivity for our users.
My answer to your question would be: ALL OF IT =P
Information sometimes stays on emails, chats, meetings, and may not make it to official documentation.
Here's what I would expect to see when there is a hit on the search:
- Location: where the match was found; email, chat, meeting notes, channel, etc..
- Title: title or subject of the conversation.
- Users: list of users involved in the conversation.
- Date: time stamp of the matched data.
- Content: a snippet of the content that matched the search.
Microsoft Teams has a very nice UI displaying this information.
I am including a screenshot found online for your review.
Hope this provides good information.

Do you have any updates on when Teams Tab (embed view) will be available? We are looking to implement a Project/Task management application. ClickUp is the one liked most; however, not having an embedded tab is the only thing keeping it from the #1 slot.

This might be a big ask, but with ClickUp's new chat feature, it would be awesome if we can integrate the two. In other words, being able to set up a Teams chat channel that we can then connect directly to a ClickUp chat channel for Clients not having to have ClickUp open to message us and our not needing to Teams open to send messages to them.

Loosing the embed option within teams has changed our workflow considerably. So glad you are bringing it back. Any idea on timing?

Ever since we turned on SSO, we can no longer view CU lists within MS Teams (when added as a Weblink to a channel). I hope that this gets fixed as you are working on all these nice enhancements!

Pinella Shapiro oh, rly? It sounds like a pretty pity thing... I was going to do the same next week :-(

if we're working on a project with different teams - would it be possible to "channel" the notifications to different MS Teams?
it would also be great to send out automated reminders to the different channels based on due dates.
Tadej Jevševar
Dominik Gisler: Yes, you can do this with ClickUp Activity messages. Open App Center in ClickUp, go to Microsoft Teams integration then click *
Add
button in Sync ClickUp Activity to Channels section. Choose a Space/Folder/List of your project then select a public Teams channel. ClickUp activity messages about selected "project" will be automatically posted to a selected Teams channel.C

You’ve made some great strides in enhancing the ClickUp and Microsoft Teams integration. As a project manager, I want to automate task creation and updates between ClickUp and Teams so that I can streamline our workflow and ensure tasks are updated in real-time without manual intervention. https://www.vanilla-giftcardbalance.com

Thomas Daniel: Thanks for your feedback. Can you please try to explain a bit more with an example maybe?
