Tarun Masani: It's still just one-way sync, right? Is 2-way on the roadmap?

Direct cal feed would be great! I realize one can use Google calendar to subscribe to ClickUp calendars, but I would love a direct subscription and avoid Google for privacy reason.

JP: I agree. And I hate Google’s calendar and love Apple’s. Probably just familiarity but that’s how I feel!

Marte Lenferink: I had been wanting to revisit this when you inquired. I have another app I have to deal with that also doesn’t sync with Apple’s Calendar either. As much as I would love to not use Google, I can’t avoid it. For the other app, I started using Fantastical’s calendar instead of Apple’s because it allows me to use Google’s calendar at the same time as Apple’s iCloud calendar. So my complicated setup is that I have two separate calendars in my Google account: one for appointments set by the that special app and one for all my other appointments. I put both in Google because that app needs to know my availability. I use a separate calendar in iCloud for personal stuff that I don’t want blocked off as me being unavailable. I have been unable to figure out how to make ClickUp’s tasks to work for both Google and Apple. Just subscribing to ClickUp put the tasks in Fantastical just fine. When I try to use Google, I get two sets of the tasks in ClickUp’s calendar: 1) The original; and, 2) A copy of the original fed back by Google. In addition, my main reason for wanting to sync with ClickUp was to be able to schedule my day by dragging non-appointment tasks into available slots. It is really buggy. About 50% of the time, when I drag a task it disappears from its scheduled day. I realize that you may have a different use than I do but I am going to have to abandon it for now. It doesn’t seem to like recurring transactions being moved and ever since I did, the subscription from ClickUp to iCloud is wrong and I can’t get it to update. Sorry I wasn’t more help. BTW, if Fantastical would solve
your
problems, the interface is very Apple-familiar even though it is a bit different.

Add tasks from specific lists to iCal and sync the date and time they're due.
