Google Meet
future
Iddo Shavit
I recently noticed a "Start a Zoom meeting" button. I assume this was added recently?
It would be so awesome if we could do the exact same with Google Meet, as this is what we, and I assume many others, use internally.
Thanks in advance!

Hey everyone! Just wanted to share an update from our side. Since this post, we’ve released dedicated calendar features that let you quickly create and manage your calendar right within ClickUp. With this, you can also create Google Meet meetings instantly for any new event.
From the comments, it seems like the main missing feature now is the ability to start a meeting on demand using a “/meet” command, without linking it to a calendar event. Does that sound right? If you have examples of how you’d realistically use this in your daily workflow, it would really help us improve all our meeting interactions.
Thanks again for the feedback!

Integrate with Google Meet

As we ues workspace internally and GChat/Meet regularly- it would be good to also have a /meet shortcut
Manuel Wirtz
I would also like to be able to connect the Google Meet function.

Add Shortcut in Chat to Google Meet / Microsoft Teams

It would be helpful if ClickUp Chat included a shortcut button within the chat input field to instantly create and share a Google Meet or Microsoft Teams link for quick collaboration.

I use Google Meet and prefer it to synkup for now, so it would be interesting to be able to call a meeting directly by clickup

I like this idea. We use the Google Workspace universe so it would help us a lot

It would be nice to have the option to replace the Start Sync Up button with a Start Google Meet for internal conversations.

I would like to be able to add my contacts from my google account as participants when I create a calendar item. So that I can immediately send those people an agenda invitation with a google meet link, actually like it works in google calendar.

Thanks for the feedback. A couple use cases.
- Being Able to Start Meetings In-Context At Will
Just typing /meet or /gmeet or similar as a slash command in comments to instantly create a meeting and then have the meeting join info show right there. We don't use ClickUp Chat, but if we did, I'd hope this slash command could work pretty much everywhere.
- Being Able to Automatically Add Google Meets to Calendar Events
If I'm creating a calendar event in Google, I can use the one-click "Add Google Meet video conferencing" option to attach a meeting to the event. This makes coordination very easy. It also tells Google to attach any meeting artifacts (Gemini notes, transcripts, chat logs, etc.) to this calendar event for future availability. Having this same 1-click availability when creating events in ClickUp would be helpful.
- One Day: Having an option to import Google meeting artifacts into ClickUp automatically.
Would be nice if eventually I could give ClickUp a default setting (and then have the option on a specific event to make the setting unique for that event) to fetch the meeting artifacts and bring them into ClickUp. This last piece is the least important given connected search, but I can see potential value.
