We know many of you have been eagerly awaiting this functionality for some time. With 3.0, we laid the groundwork for the new Email + inbox feature, but there is still work ahead.
I can give you an update since our team has put in a lot of work to improve our email service and handle the higher demand more effectively. With more emails expected to flow through ClickUp we wanted to make sure that we had the buffer to take on more functionality.
We also have a significant migration planned for our Microsoft email customers later this year, which should open up many more possibilities, but that part is still going through some back and forth on planning.
As some of you have mentioned, perfecting this feature will involve multiple steps, which is why we do not have an ETA just yet.
We'll keep you updated as we develop more features, but please keep sharing your feedback and use cases. At the end of the day, our goal is to enhance your communication needs, and since not everyone has the same requirements, understanding where you face challenges helps us get a clearer picture.

I feel like this will really put ClickUp all together, like a missing peice of the puzzle. ClickUp Brain is great in theory, but without it being able to search through my email, pull up PDF's or specific links in my emails, it feels limited.
"Can you please search through my inbox and find an email pertaining to the location of X video shoot? Then add it to the project brief doc for X lsit"
You see what I am saying? THIS WOULD BE A GAME CHANGER!

Ivan Villa any update? Notion is becoming great in this feature, but I currently have my context in Clickup...
I am happy to buy this as an add-on for writing emails on a per user basis, if it incorporates the context I have in my workspace!

I'm relatively new to ClickUp. One thing I've noticed is how there have been promises of features that seem like they wouldn't be terribly hard to implement, and would be major improvements to user functionality, from quite a long time ago with no real estimate on when the promises will be delivered on.
I just saw a video on ClickUp's Youtube page from February 2021 when email was seemingly first brought to ClickUp where the rep said they were working on bringing your entire inbox into ClickUp.
Should it take more than 4 and half years to bring this promised feature to ClickUp? Even if the answer is yes, don't make a promise that will take that long to deliver on.
Like other users have said, the AI stuff is cool and all, but please refocus some more of your attention towards basic functionalities like this feature.

One can truly appreciate the effort and innovation going into AI features like ClickUp Brain. However, adding email functionality directly into ClickUp would greatly enhance productivity, especially if it includes a shared inbox with strong privacy controls (something like Missive, but with Brain integration).
Yes, continue developing ClickUp Brain, but please also prioritise core productivity improvements, particularly around email and shared inbox collaboration, to make ClickUp an even more powerful productivity hub.
