Chrome Extension: Support Subtasks
Willi Eggeling
As of now only the Task-level is support for attaching bookmarks and screenshots with the Chrome Extension. I'd like the possibility to attach / create those as a Subtask as well.

I am a real estate agent and I would really love to use ClickUp as my CRM and daily task manager.. there seems to be major stumbling block though..
Since I work out of gmail throughout the day I use the Chrome Extension to assign a task from within an email in gmail..
The problem is it allows you to create only a "task" and not a "subtask" and creating a task is really creating a new client, when what you want to do most of the time is create a 'task' for a client (and assign it to someone) which in this case would be to create a sub-task to the Client (which is the Task).
For example, this is a typical workflow..
- client emails me to ask about some houses they would like to view
- we discuss the properties and their suitability back and forth and their availability to view them
- then I want to assign the "subtask" of setting the house viewings up to my assistant. The obvious way is to forward the email and ask her to do that but ideally ClickUp reduces unnecessary emails, so I use the chrome extension which allows me to create a task or attach and email to an existing task.
Currently, the method to do this appears to be attach the email from my clients in question to an existing "task" (ie their contact card) then click back into that task and manually assign a sub-task or a checklist item and tel her to reference the email which I attached, which at best is cumbersome and takes more effort and potential for error than just forwarding the email and at first if there is only one or two emails attached to the contact (task field) then it is obvious but what if I have repeated this 6-10 times? then it gets quite confusing for my assistant on where to find the attached email..
