Whiteboard permissions

Users with access to a document do not automatically have access to whiteboards that are created in that document. Whiteboards should inherit the document permission they are created in, or at least have an option to do so

Thanks for your feedback Rob! If I understand your use case correctly, this is how all of ClickUp works. Each item has its own set of permissions that don't get automatically updated when it gets embedded in another object (e.g. private task in public doc doesn't become public). Please let me know if I misunderstood :)
