Whiteboard pan with middle mouse button stop moving item underneath mouse
Jonathan Pearson
When panning by pressing the middle mouse button if there is an image or something underneath your mouse it will move that instead of panning. If you have a whiteboard with a lot of things on it can be very hard to pan. This is the second feature request as the first was marked as complete when the issue wasn't resolved. I know you can press a button on the menu to do this but it's not a smooth workflow.

Jonathan Pearson Aviv Mintz thanks for your feedback! I tested the current UX to confirm:
- Middle mouse pans (including when there's an image underneath)
- Right click opens the menu attached
Is this not what you're observing? If so, there may be a bug — pls let me know and we'll fix it :)

Alex Omeyer (ClickUp) We gave up on clickup whiteboards and paid for Miro, but I checked and it looks like it works now. Could you also fix the mouse zoom now. I can't convince the team to come back to clickup whiteboards because the standard usability is so poor compared to Miro.

Jonathan Pearson: thanks for your feedback. Let me look into the mouse zoom UX.

+1 - Miro is a good example on how to implement this - left click drags items, right & middle click only pan. Currently it's difficult as every mouse button results in moving things around when you meant to pan. Agree that relying on changing a menu configuration to stop moving objects accidentally is clunky.
