Website Clipper

Similar to what OneNote does-
Options:
~Full Page (Scrolling Screenshot)
~Region (Selected Area Screenshot)
~Article (Formatted Text from Article)
~Bookmark (just the link and snippet)
And also by selected the text on a page, right click and "clip" selected text or image to new note/task
Don't know how the new notepad is going to be setup, but would be awesome if either anything clipped from a site could be converted to a task right away or sent as a new note to a notebook

bugyard.io is a good example of what's needed here too if an equivalent could be integrated into the forms feature for a more precise way of capturing issues relating to UI's.

Hopefully this can be done soon!

It would seem only natural to have the option to save web clipping into a new doc (and not as a screenshot like today) Any chance of that happening? ALSO... Look at Nimbus Note and how they give you many options to clip.
Shannon Lee
Please do this now - 150 new users on enterprise coming your way.

This feature would be great. I hope it comes out soon. Great for research, shopping, data mining...so many others!

Please also have in mind to create similar possibilities when clipping from iPad/iPhone.
I am sure a lot of us work across devices and really need more functionality on mobile devices.

@Waleed Elaghil: This is AWESOME NEWS!!!! Of course the next question is... can we get it this Friday :-)
Amyn Nasser
@Waleed Elaghil: Great news! Can we get it Thursday? ❓❓
Dean Phillips
@Waleed Elaghil: Awesome man! Will this allow us to have similar functions to Evernotes? :)
Waleed Elaghil
@Dean Phillips: We are adding bookmark feature, but the ability to clip text is something we probably won’t have at first.
Dan Egli
@Waleed Elaghil: WOOHOO

@Waleed Elaghil: Chrome AND Firefox? ;)
Waleed Elaghil
@Anastasiya Gendelman: This will only include Chrome! I'll surface out Firefox for the team but it won't be anytime soon 🙂
Jan Dvořák
@Waleed Elaghil: So what would be different from today's option? Probably nothing, just recreated the extension to allow future additions?
Waleed Elaghil
Hey @Jan Dvořák! The new re-designed Chrome extension will allow you to have an easier and multiple ways to access the extension, supports time tracking, better task creation, bookmarking to a Doc, and many more!
Jan Dvořák
@Waleed Elaghil: Bookmarking to a Doc itself will be huge, thanks for the info 😀

@Waleed Elaghil: That is great to hear! Please be sure to include a feature that allows user to add comments/annotations to the website they are clipping. The evernote and RemNote web clippers are examples of how this could work!
Waleed Elaghil
Hey @Alex K! Thank you for the feedback. I'll make sure to surface this to the team 🙂
Eric
@Waleed Elaghil: Take a look at the new asset gathering tool by MyMind. Would love for you guys to implement something similar (not task related). https://mymind.com/what-is-mymind
Feature suggestion was submitted here: https://clickup.canny.io/feature-requests/p/new-assets-gathering-feature-not-task-related
Waleed Elaghil
@Eric: Thanks for sharing. We'll definitely have a look!

YES YES YES!!!! This is the only thing holding me back from dumping Evernote. With this enhanced web clipping, ClickUp will truly be "All in one" for my needs. Hope you guys can do this!!!! You could just dump the web clippings as a doc in the Docs section. (PS... it would also be great to add a folder structure to the Docs section to organize the web clippings (and other docs)
