We hate the new layout for workload view.
Sara Niinimaa
The new style view of infinite horizontal scroll and tiny condensed task cards is terrible UI. Why did you bring this style back after taking it away??? Users want to see more than a truncated title in their task overview. Try product testing with real users before making changes that brick your already cluttered product.

I appreciate your detailed feedback Sara Niinimaa!
A few quick things that might help:
1. The zoom level should be saved—you should see a popup in the bottom right suggesting you save it. Let me know if that’s not showing up! (screenshot 1)
2. Have you enabled Assignee field and Task Locations in your settings? That should bring in more of the details you’re looking for. (screenshot 2 & 3)
3. Can you send a screenshot? That’ll help us understand exactly what you’re seeing as empty spaces.
Let’s figure this out together! 🚀 We can improve the new layout instead of switching to the old.

Vasil Enchev Yes those fields are enabled but it creates a very cramped view and text is being truncated as the project and subtask live in the same line.
Spacing example: Friday's shoutouts task, the assignees overlap the task time and then 80% of the column is blank.
Also the colour coding now goes from green to brown to red, green amber red was a much more accessible and intuitive palette as the brown makes it look like an inactive state. Thanks for listening!

Sara Niinimaa: Thanks for the info, I identified some issues and things that could be improved. If you want, I can temporarily disable Workload 2.0 for your workspace — Just send me your workspace ID (found in the website URL), and I’ll take care of it. 🚀

Vasil Enchev Yes please put us back!! Thank you! 14193880

Vasil Enchev Following up about going back to the old workspace, thank you! workspace ID = 14193880

Sara Niinimaa: Sorry for the delay, you should see the old workload now.
We are going to try to display more title maybe (2 lines) for larger zooms, and add the ability for the maximum zoom to be full width week. (end-to-end)
Let me know if you are interested in seeing how this looks once ready.

Vasil Enchev Amazing thank you! For our team in particular (agency with 15-20 active clients at any time) we want to be able to see what project it's from, what the task is, how long it's scheduled for, and what other people are involved. The new view was showing task location and subtask but I would want it to go one level deeper to show the project as for example a lot of of our locations may read as 'UI' with a sub-task of 'Sprint 2' however without being able to see what client that is for then that is what was causing a lot of frustration of having to toggle the info window or open the task.
ie. An ideal title would read:
Stack DX [client/highest level project folder] > UI [major phase/location] > Sprint 2 [sub-task]
Thank you so much for your help it is really appreciated!

Hey Sara Niinimaa,
We hear you! The goal with the new style view was to improve navigation and efficiency, but we totally understand that it might not be working as expected for you. Have you tried adjusting the zoom level? Sometimes a quick tweak there can make a big difference in visibility.
That said, we definitely want to get this right for you and other users. What else would you like to see improved? Your insights help us shape a better experience, so keep them coming!
Looking forward to your thoughts.

Vasil Enchev The zoom level is a temporary fix that does not increase the size of overview cards, and then resets each time. This layout may be beneficial in some cases where a Project Manager wants to see the large scale view, but from the production team it has created friction points that now cause users to open individual tasks to have the full understanding of task/project/team/etc. Give users the choice to go back to the old layout if you are going to continue this rollout.
From the overview card I want to be able to see the entire title of the task, what project it belongs to, the time estimate, along with other teams members on the task.
On a given day I may have between 3-6 tasks, with the new condensed layout, the bottom half of my screen is empty while I cannot see crucial details - why are the cards not autofilling to the available space?
