Warning on exit-without-save in Edit List Status and other places
S
Salah Boukadoum
(Hi guys, congratulations on your Series A, makes me even more confident in building my businesses on your platform, and Zeb thanks for reading all our suggestions.)
ClickUp has "trained" me that everything is always saved by using the X to mean "close this box and don't worry your changes are already saved." However there are a few places that you must click a save button or you lose your work, and I've been so well trained from the other UX that I don't notice the save button, and I click the X and then lose my work. An example is Edit List Statuses.
Please scrub the UX for non-real-time change interactions and add "You are leaving without saving your changes, are you sure?" type warnings.
Thanks for your consideration!

This is still an issue with the Create button at the top of ClickUp. If a user starts typing a title and description for a Task, then chooses another tab (ex. Docs) and returns, the title and description are erased. It's unusual behavior to type first and then make a different selection, but should be easy to protect with a "Confirm you want to navigate away and lose your changes" type of dialogue.
Also, what's the deal on this request? It was Planned, then Open with a note about Hierarchy? Where is this expected to be addressed?

This was planned in 2020? Any update here? I often start writing a comment and forget to click SEND. Both teammates and clients have reported the same. Would love a warning that says "do you want to send that comment" before we close the window!

Ivan Villa: This feature is marked as planned since more than 2.5 years ! Seriously, since 2.5 years have not been able to do something about it ! Really !

That is a great catch Salah Boukadoum! We will improve the UX here :)
also thanks for the kind words!
