Vivid colours for tags in dark mode
in progress

Hello!
Recently there has been an update for dark mode. Previously the tags were vivid coloured but now they are pretty dark which is pretty bad for visibility and imagine it's especially challenging for those with vision problems.
I would like to request to change the colour back to the previous vivid colours.
Best regards.

Not at all. They need to go back to the original colours. The one you see when you pick the colour from the hues. Your examples are still muddy, dark, and have no contrast. They need to be more than "slightly" improved, please.

Hey everyone,
We slightly improved the colors for tags as you can see in the image and these changes should be hitting your Workspace next week. Based on the image, is that enough vividness to you? Keep in mind we chose two colors that looked the worst as examples.

Zach - ClickUp I use tags every day and they NEED to be visible when scrolling a long list of tasks. I specifically picked my own colors because the suggestions weren't the right contrast. Give us the actual colors! Don't override user choices.

Zach - ClickUp Hey Zach, thank you for your effort, but the colors still don’t feel quite right. Why not use the vibrant colors from the previous darker version? Those looked really good. Could you please bring them back?

Thanks for the feedback, I'll share these comments with our team!

Zach - ClickUp tags should NOT forcefully follow any "nice color" schemes. Allow users to color these as we need it. If I set a tag to be #f00, I want it to be #f00, without any transparency, any desaturation or whatever else.

This change is horrible! Although the tags may be considered a "small feature", they are actually imperative to our workflow for the way we use the platform. These are the worst colours and in order to see the proper contrast, they are forcing us to switch back to white mode. Many of our staff use dark mode as it is easier on their eyes (and cause less headaches). Now the white font slaps you in the face, and the colours we actually need to stand out are muddy, are all similar in shade and contrast and CANNOT be changed no matter what colour you try to change it to, even though the colour choice shows a completely different colour than the one that is applied.
It is absolutely ridiculous that we have to vote to get things put back the way they were. I don't recall there being a choice to NOT have these changes occur.
Please revert the white font and tags back to their original colours.

Merged in a post:
Increase opacity/contrast of tag colors [new dark theme]

After a few days of use, I'm dissatisfied with the new tag colors.
In color selection box, one can still see the opaque, contrasty colors.
But the tag list renders them all forcing opacity of only 20%.
Everything looks muddy and it is now impossible to highlight certain tags with bold colors.
Reduced color opacity / contrast should become an option.
Or allow users to select RGBA colors instead of forcing 20% opacity.

agreed. i have also posted this on X and facebook official group. not sure they are working on it or not. nobody is happy with these dull colors of tags.

I posted on other social media platforms on this very same topic. It seems that they went for a deep black with bright white text, which is quite irritating to the eyes. It seems like this change wasn't even fully committed on the backend, as the browser loading page still has the original color scheme which was much more appealing.
I'm quite doubtful that this was intended, though the default response is that "developers are not planning on reverting changes" that is commonly seen on Reddit seems to still be prevalent.
