Video Proofing
Simon
frame.io, Wipster and similar tools are great for proofing video, image and sound with clients. As most of our feedback and review process is already happening via ClickUp it would be awesome to have similar capabilities here.
Capabilities:
These tools allow for adding comments at specific timestamps in a video (frame accurate) by clicking on a specific point in the frame.
They sync comments as markers to adobe premiere pro, so editors see client remarks right in their timeline.

if you go to a timestamp, the 1 second autoplay has to be disabled, otherwise it doensn´t work as intended

Midhun V Dev: Hii, could you do me a massive favor and record the issue that you see in a Clip and explain what you expect. We had two QA people try to reproduce this and I don't think we can. Thank you!
Midhun V Dev
Philipp Berner I was referring to the same feature, video proofing. I have attached a screenshot showing that the comment button is missing from newly uploaded videos for the last 3 days.
Philipp Berner
Midhun V Dev you see this button on your end? Looks like it got moved by the team owning the video page. But please let me know.
Midhun V Dev
Philipp Berner The screenshot I shared shows the previous videos uploaded in the activity section of a task, and the comment button is still visible there. However, it is not showing on newly uploaded videos. I checked the screenshot you shared, but the button is still not there. Please check the new screenshot for reference.
Midhun V Dev
Philipp Berner I actually found the exact problem. Yes, you are right; the comment option is there, but only if we play the videos from the attachment section (marked in yellow in the screenshot). However, if we play the videos from the activity tab or description (marked in red in the screenshot), the comment option is not showing.

Improve Proofing Feature

Please expand the capabilities of your proofing feature. In our extensive research in deciding on a PMS, the one feature that was significantly lacking compared to the other solutions that made our final list was ClickUp's proofing feature. It is extremely basic, lacking the ability to proof video or websites, and it does not have the proofing tools required for copy.
Leandro Salerno
It is perfect for those of us who work with videos. The ability to comment on specific frames. Similar to what Frame.io does
It opens up a huge range of possibilities for all of us who work with video. We need that feature! Thanks!!

Love the new proofing tool, and very pleased with ClickUp for listening to feedback. However, the proofing only works for attached files (size limit 1GB) and not links. It'd be great if we could attach an external link (like Vimeo or YouTube) that would allow proofing, like in the Wrike proofing tool.
This would decrease the burden on ClickUp's system because they wouldn't have to host the files for proofing, just integrate with the link. We could also upload longer/higher quality videos to be proofed.

Robert Tanner: This is exactly what we need. It's especially helpful for UX projects and getting feedback on prototypes.

hey Simon, Clickup just released video proofing https://docs.clickup.com/en/articles/4049259-proofing-image-video-and-pdf-annotation
It's basic but works well with short videos. With bigger files it can take a long time though. Does anyone know, what the plan going forward is?
Leandro Salerno
Aurelien Schibli: It is a big step! It is not very intuitive for those who must review the comments, click and go directly to the point. You must click on the timecode. It would also be perfect to be able to make boxes, lines or text on the image as Frame.io does.
Leandro Salerno
Aurelien Schibli: Also the marks must be per Frame and not per second as they currently are.

Insert comments in a frame of attached videos
Julio Pablo Vázquez
It would be great if you could add comments within the video frame in the same way you can do with the attached PDFs. This would allow for very interesting feedback when the media is audiovisual.
