E.g in the inventory management template.. Use forms to CheckOut or CheckIn assets into the inventory using custom forms and update the value of stock in background.

We'd love to have this feature because when onboarding a new applicant, we want a ClickUp Form submission for References to update within the applicant's task/line item once their 3 references have been submitted. Currently linking via Relationships is clunky and confusing.

We do a lot of onboarding, sales, CRM etc based on
- lists where
-- tasks represent people or services. those tasks have
--- custom fields that are updated by different colleagues over time.
the colleagues are assigned via varying subtasks and it would be great for them to be able to update custom fields of the parent task by form.
its confusing to update custom fields in subtasks, since they have the same custom fields of the parent task duplicated in every subtasks and there is no rollup option yet. (people update only subtask custom fields that are useless in a list overview displaying custom fields of parent tasks)
Using a form to update the parent tasks would be much easier. -> drop down in a form to choose the task and subsequently update its custom fields would be very helpful

Yes, and also the existing sub-tasks. My use case is product order forms that have a lot of customization options.

The users are going to be forced to use the Task List view for data entry.. :-( not robust or friendly.

I need to ensure that remote volunteers' details get updated. (Address, Phone number, etc.) The data initially comes in from a Form to a List. Annually, I need to send existing data the volunteers, and then let them send back any updated data. A Form that allows updates to the data in my List would seem the ideal way to do this.

Why isn't this a feature yet, after 4 years. This would help with so many things such as inventory management.
