Track time on calendar events
Kasper Bengtson
Right now, time has to be tracked on a specific task - or by writing a note. It would be great, if it was possible to track time for an event that is in my Google Calendar.

now this is a greeeaat idea. I've been fiding time tracking hard to work on. I would love for calendar events to have a nicely sized start time icon. same withint priorities list

To add to this it would be great to track time on meetings to and to be able to assign it to a list/ task for hours tracked against a client for example

This actually would be an insane addition to ClickUp. What ClickUp lacks in comparison to Toggl or Asana is a seamless way to track time. It takes so much time to navigate between tasks, client folders and there's so many inputs needed that it makes us consider different tools instead of using ClickUp only.
Calendar screen shows everything - overdue tasks, backlog, your plans for the day and it could be an amazing all-in-one tool for team daily meetings where you can plan your entire day and quickly go through everything, but unfortunately you have to open each calendar event, then open assigned task, press track time, then stop it and repeat when the time comes for a new task which wastes a lot of time.
A simple "Track time" toggle button in ClickUp Calendar near an assigned task would save so much time for teams that it seems like a no brainer, you plan your tasks according to how long you think they'll take either way so the fact that they do not track time is quite a bummer.

Kristupas Sakalius I would like it right within the calendar view to save an extra click. although for multi tasked events it might get complicated to know to which it is allocated

It would be great if there was an automation that directly tracks the duration of a Google Calendar appointment as time spent on a ClickUp task

Hannah Henshaw Agreed, any update on that here ClickUp
