Track automation usage
Tom "Barnwell" Elliott
There are usage caps on automations that are spread across an entire workspace. With many teams using automations in many different ways, it would be very useful to see which automations (grouped by space/folder/list/etc) are gobbling up the most of the usage limits.
This way, a company can internally coordinate the best way to budget automations.

Given the significant investment we already make in ClickUp services, it is disappointing to learn that access to essential operational features, such as logs, requires an additional upgrade. It is unreasonable to expect further expenditure simply to gain visibility into how we are already utilizing and being charged for the service. Really upsetting.
The current positioning by ClickUp feels unreasonable - essentially, "if you want to see how you are spending your money, please pay more". This approach is particularly frustrating as it extends to basic functionalities like activity logs or exporting a simple User List, which also requires additional payment. It creates the impression of being repeatedly charged for fundamental features that should be standard.

the fact this is not already build is cause to believe clickup is specifically not building it as it would hurt their bottom line. This is what i call forced upgrades because people do not have tools to determine what actions they can take to keep their automations under the limit .Wild.

Could it be that there is very little incentive for clickup to be transparent here?
Every dollar we save is a dollar they lose.

Please do it, it's so frustrating to have to track down each automation use manually.

This is very important. Right now ClickUp is billing a very expensive price to add more automation and there are no way to monitor the current automation to see which one are useless and consuming too much credit.

Reporting of this nature is absolutely crucial to administrate business environments. If ClickUp is going to offer enterprise services at enterprise rates, being able to trace down the drivers of cost are table stakes requirements.

This is a huge problem. The link to this thread was sent to me by ClickUp after I waited almost a week to get a response from support to my request for a report of our automation usage. Now I see that this has been a complaint since 2020, and ClickUp has still not provided a solution. I don't understand why something so integral to productivity has not been addressed yet.

Having visibility is critical, especially having multiple spaces and different rules per space/folder.

Automations - Full Usage Overview

Would be nice to see a more detailed overview of the automations usage.
Thing I'd like to see might be;
- Estimated usage for the month based on current and previous usage.
- What automations are using the most. This could help make sure you don't have one that you forgot about that is chewing up your quota.
- A list of every automation in that workspace. This could be tied in with the las one showing a full list with the usage next to each one. Preferably with a brief detail on what it's performing. i.e.
Task Created -> Status Changed
This could help make sure that you don't have redundant automations that don't need to be there rather than going through each list.

This is critical! Ability to see usage across the workspace, and also turn automations on/off without needing to hunt around to find them within the hierarchy.
