Time Tracking Card Groupings (Easy Fix)

I want to be able to see how much time I have spent on different projects, task types etc. over a prespecified date range (ie last 7 days). Currently the time tracking groupings are limited to Space, Folder, List or User and I struggle to understand why. You have the ability to track times from different locations and the ability to group by 2 levels. You also have the ability to group by custom fields in other cards. Why limit the time tracking groups to Space, Folder, List or User? What is the purpose of this limitation?
