Template Agent Automations
future
Muhammad Bilal
Currently, standard ClickUp automations can be saved and reused through templates, but SuperAgents and their configurations cannot be bundled into templates. This creates extra manual setup work when creating new projects from existing list or folder templates.
Use case:
Our team uses list templates to spin up new project lists regularly. We would like AI Agent automations (including triggers, actions, prompts, and configurations) to automatically carry over as part of those templates, just like standard automations do today.
Suggested functionality:
-Allow AI Agents and Agent Automations to be saved within Space, Folder, and List templates
-Preserve agent configuration settings, prompts, triggers, actions, and linked workflows
-Automatically recreate or attach the relevant agents when a new list/folder is created from a template
-Optionally allow users to choose whether to include or exclude agents during template creation
This would help make AI Agents significantly more practical for teams that rely heavily on reusable project templates and standardized workflows.

Solid use case Muhammad. Regular automations already carry over with templates, but Super Agents are newer and not yet part of template behavior. Saving agent config (triggers, actions, prompts, linked workflows) inside list/folder/space templates is a natural next step and we're hearing this from other agency teams too. Not in the current build but it's on our radar as Super Agents matures
