Task view | Show closed subtasks in parent view by default / Subtasks remember "Show completed"
Paul Zürcher
In the task view, if I choose to show completed subtasks, please remember this preference. So, when I open the next task, I would like it to show the subtasks as well. The same functionality applies to checklists; there, the preference is saved.

It would be helpful to have the option to unhide completed or approved subtasks. Our team frequently references all subtasks and it's an added step to the process to hunt down completed tasks instead of being able to see in one view.

Yet another case of Click Up being too "smart" for its own good. Yes it is great to have so much functionality for all its users but when it comes to things like fixing a very basic problem, we get the old "Were working on it" response from developers.
Apparently its design is way too complex on the backend if you cannot promptly fix a elemental issue like the one listed in this feedback topic. I can digest my workflow in 16 different ways, each in a seemingly endless way of Custom viewpoints, but this can't be an option?
- At its core It is simple. Show "Closed tasks", "Closed Subtasks" by default everywhere...

Would be good to have a show/hide option to show or hide the done and completed subtasks on the task details dialogue.

Hi,
Would be good to have a default show/hide option to show or hide the completed subtasks on the task details dialogue.
Currently they are hidden by default.
Cheers

Options to show closed subtasks in parent view by default

From support ticket:
are we able to default "closed" subtasks to show when we click into a parent task?
Matthias Dewilde
i'm looking for this option as well - annoying having to click "Show closed" everytime I open a task to see all the subtasks. Ideally it would simply save the most recent setting (show/hide closed subtasks), similar to views in lists.

How is this not a feature already?
Thinking about switching to something else just because of this.
Also, "Show Closed Sub-Task" is already a feature in the list view, why can't it just be extended for when we click on the task?
Ridiculous.

I strongly agree! We have the option to show completed tasks and save that view, however doing so does not show completed subtasks.

Absolutely need this. It looks like 3.0 makes this option semi-permanent: when you click on "Show X completed" on a parent task with closed subtasks, that option stays enabled while you're going through various subtask levels. But as soon as you close the task window, and reopen it, they're hidden again.
Make this an option in the settings somewhere!
