Support MCP (Model Context Protocol) in Clickup AI
planned
Lasse Schuirmann
It'd be dope if clickup AI would support https://modelcontextprotocol.io/ .
With that its agent could instantly integrate with a ton of tools without you having to do first party integrations in the first place.
Some tools like cursor.ai just allow you to paste in an MCP link and bam, you have it in your agent.
Support this ONE thing and save time integrating all the others. Let your users do the job and give them the power to integrate properly.

I use context7 (The most used MCP tool on the market ) as a profound tool for one of my agents to provide exact documentation that is relevant to the request we are doing development work against. This ensures best practices are implemented as a development approach.

Allow AI Agents and Brain MAX to connect to MCP Servers

MCP Client functionality in the ClickUp App, ClickUp Web and Brain MAX. Would be a game changer.

Custom MCP Connections for Super Agents
Derek Cummings
Add the open MCP protocol so we can add our own MCP connections for a full suite of apps. Without this, no one can fully move over to super agents.

Yes... please.

We've built an MCP server for our own data and this feature would let anyone on the team pull customer data, stats, analyze anomalies, using natural language.

Thibaut: thats awesome, we are currently working on something that supports HTTP Streamable, and SSE. along with Oauth and API keys.
as long as your server falls in that camp we should be able to support it. I'm hoping the team ca get something in beta soon and when we do we will post again.

Ability to call ClickUp and other external MCP servers

It would be invaluable if the new agents could access additional tools and resources.

Agreed - posted a similar idea to have MCP Server access that would increase ClickUp agent capability (and usability). https://feedback.clickup.com/ai-super-agents/p/ability-to-call-clickup-and-other-external-mcp-servers

There are hundreds of MCP servers that BrainMax could connect to:

This feature is crucial for Brain MAX actually becoming the "AI Super app" y'all want it to be. By adding this feature, we can connect Brain MAX with any thousands of tools that have MCP servers without waiting on ClickUp to finish building each integration.
I think Brain MAX's closest competitor is Raycast, which already has this feature.

Q4 2025, and clickup is not only the slowest interface on the market, but has no official mcp support. I have to rely on 3rd party? taazkareem/clickup-mcp-server
