Subtasks created from a template should remain subtasks
Andrew Levine
If I create a subtask from a template, it becomes a parent task rather than remaining attached to the parent task it was created under. According to ClickBot, subtasks do not support templates for the moment, which means I must first create the task from template and then locate the intended parent.

Andrew Levine Are you trying to apply a template that has tasks with subtasks, then those subtasks should carry over and you might be running into a bug. If so, can you please file your bug at the link below?
If you are instead trying to create a separate type of template specific to subtasks, then please vote on this canny request: https://feedback.clickup.com/feature-requests/p/subtask-template

Lily Chan Thanks a lot. Not sure it's either. The template is for a task that contains subtasks. It is not specifically meant as a subtask. But when I use it to create a subtask, it pops up to parent level. Is this due to templates for subtasks not being supported yet?

Lily Chan Awesome! thanks a lot, this is indeed the issue. In summary, doesn't work in List view, works if task is opened and then template is applied (from what I see in your video). Will submit ticket.
