Dark mode is now too dark

In spite of being an emo, the dark mode is actually
too dark
right now. The old one was better, in my humble and emotive opinion. ThxLog In

Plus one, I work a lot in VSCode and I liked that the background grey is kind of similar to most other dark mode implementations in apps, please bring back the old option!!!

I would love for them to keep both options, the old dark mode that was grey, and the new black dark mode. I also hate the new dark mode, it's too dark and hard to see at a glance without the option to have the colors a little brighter like they used to be. Please give us the option to use either mode!

In full agreement here — the new dark mode is too contrasty and very difficult on the eyes!
I highly prefer the old version to this.

I am a dark mode fanatic and have been for years. This is the WORST implementation of it I've seen any app, ever. And now I've wasted a couple of hours of productivity to figuring out wtf happened to my "productivity" app!
Furthermore, to just slap this useless, trivial "update" with no functional benefit upon every single user without warning nor the option to revert?
I begin to question ClickUp's collective judgement when we see these kinds of nonsensical changes being made when there is PLENTY of other work to do.

Unfortunately, it does not work for many other teams. The new dark mode is heavy on the contrast, and while you can diminish the harshness by altering your monitor's contrast settings, it will also affect all other applications you work with on your machine.
This is why they should allow the dark mode they previously had as an option, rather than just replacing a working option with a new one altogether.
Especially when one of the chief complaints of the current mode is the painful visual contrast. It's not often you get user complaints where the visuals cause pain to the eyes anymore, but when you do, organizations have to react quickly since a productivity tool that is hard to work with is hardly productive at all.
So having to alter the visuals of all other applications just to get ClickUp to a workable appearance is not the way to go. Since everyone is different, giving individuals and organizations the options to choose their own color scheme would shift this responsibility of getting things right from the ClickUp team to the users themselves.
You can keep the new dark mode for those who like it/are able to tolerate it, but return the old dark mode color scheme as well.

Agree, I love the dark mode.
but the new change something now i looks REALLY BAD. from a design standpoint vote to go back to the way it was.
OR allow more customization.
Vince Amatuzzi
Agreed. Would love to see the original, softer dark version be an option, along with the new dark mode for those who prefer it.

Turn back the dark mode colors soft, please

The latest color update is not optimal. The background tone is much more saturated and intensifies the rest of the colors, which makes them brighter and causes fatigue. I have been suggested to use the "high contrast" mode as a solution, but this applies lines of a much lighter color between blocks and causes even more visual fatigue. The use of bright colors in interfaces of continuous use produces cognitive overload, or in other words, you get tired before using the tool.
Amber Cosby
Absolutely. Harsher on the eyes now, there is too much contrast between background and text.

I have to use white mode for now because black mode is giving me eye strain.
