My sidebar only has spaces that I visit consistently and want to dig into but sometimes I need to find another teams space to look at something. When I use the search bar is only looks at those that I have saved and I always have to do multiple extra clicks to get to the space I want. I have to search then open all space and then search again for the space and then click through. The click to open a space is also not very obvious on the all space page so that can be annoying as well. Its just a lot more time consuming then it needs to be if the search bar just pulled up spaces that were not saved to the sidebar as well. I am rarely searching for something in my sidebar already as I keep it fairly clean.
