I just discovered that you can use Slack to receive notifications, which is AWESOME -- but the notifications it currently supports (i.e., Task created, Assignee changed, Status changed, New attachment, New comment) are the ones I keep turned off normally on all other notification channels because they clutter my inbox.
What I WANT to see are Slack notifications for everything I'm @mentioned in or assigned to, especially when it comes to comment assignments and comment threads that I've posted the top-level for OR commented in.
(I know that at least comment assignments are on their way to being added to the Inbox, but the Inbox is already very difficult to look through; my team members are also much quicker on the uptake on Slack than ClickUp, so it would be amazing to see this integration work more granularly.)

We have recently released the ability for a ClickUp mention in a comment as an option for Slack notifications!
In addition, we have the ability to get notified in Slack when a task is assigned to you in ClickUp by selecting both Assigned to me and Assignee Changes from the menu!
You can toggle this from your personal Slack Notification Settings.
We're planning to make more great improvements to our integration with Slack.
As always, please let us know what we improve by voting and commenting on existing posts, or creating a new Feature Request when needed!

My use case is that I have a number of people all working off the same list who are not assigned to a task, but need to be notified of particular task updates/comments when they are mentioned directly or as a watcher.

Nick Potok: This is great but you still have to pick a location and a channel? Do I need to make a new private channel for this to send to? What if we want mentions across all of our spaces?

Nick Potok: This is very broken. I'm getting notifications when other team member's are mentioned on a task that i'm not assigned to or even watching. Also, I get a notification every time I mention someone on my team. I do get notifications when someone mentions me but I have to dig through all of them in my Slack channel to find them now.

Selecting multiple Spaces at once will definitely be a good improvement and I'll share with the team!
I'm looking now that specific Feature Request to add you to, but absolutely create a new one if you would like!
Regarding the additional notifications, I would recommend using a specific Slack channel that is just for these ClickUp notifications. It does not need to be private, it will work with any channel.
Next, turn off the other options for this setup, so that you are only

Nick Potok: I'm also seeing this behaviour, ie if _anyone_ is mentioned the notification comes through. (and yes I have checked that only is _when I am mentioned_ is selected).
Also I would second (third/forth?) the request to be able to turn this on for _everything_ (ie all spaces) with a single configuration.

Nick Potok: this doesn't appear to work. When I select when I mentioned, nothing sends to my channel. Only, when I select the other features will it send to the channel. But then that sends me EVERYTHING.

Hi ClickUp team!
I'm currently benchmarking ClickUp against Jira. There are a lot of features I really like in ClickUp, but not being able to receive @mentions in Slack is a core requirement for us. In Jira I can get all my @mentions directly in a dedicated app channel (pictures attached).
I can also get my @mentions directly in a dedicated app channel from other tools our team uses like Figma. This makes Slack a great hub to make sure critical notifications aren't missed.
Unfortunately this is a pretty big feature gap for us when evaluating tools. Please add the ability to receive @mentions from ClickUp in Slack soon!

Yes! This would be really helpful for our team too. All I need for slack notification is "When I get @mentioned from any task comment (even I'm not included or assgned to that task)"

Yes this would be really useful for our team. Seems like a very common use case. Asana's Slack integration works this way, and after migrating to ClickUp this is a bottleneck my team is running into.
