Simpler Interface for guests and users

I enjoy the layout of clickup for the most part - but I am the project manager. For my teams and for "guests" I would hope to either turn off many of the features or have a simpler interface for them to be able to navigate. This tool may be too overwhelming for them to use bc of how it looks now.

Complex bloat may be ClickUps #1 biggest issue. Read every reputable comparitive review online comparing clickup to other Project Mgmt solutions... and they all say ClickUp is unnecessarily complex, and difficult to use.
So much friction to getting actual work done. It makes clickuo a massive waste of time.
We are talkinh about a checklist people. It's embarrrassing how complex ClickUp has made it
If clickup doesnt know this by now... it is hopeless. Im serious.. why do we have to suggest and vote for the most obvious and biggest issues??? It is insulting to the intelligence of every stakeholder involved.
For thr love of UX and CX. - lets create a mode that is focused on getting work done!!!
Call it "Work Mode", whatever you want to call it... but Clickup priding itself on being an app focused on getting work done while simultaneously adding an inordinant amount of friction creates cognitive dissonance at levels that could make anybody go insane

I think this really makes sense, i was about to create a the same feature request. Removing all of the "editing" of the interface could improve very much the experience for the using what has been created

Hi there! Can you please give us some examples of what you'd like to turn off for Guests?

Zeb: Anything, and everything.
I envision on-boarding a new client, and having them see an interface which only included Documentation. Then as billable work was required giving them access to a basic todo list. Once the todo list was ready, introducing them to the gantt view and 1 report on time logged. Thats it.
They dont need to see the sprint boards, they dont need to manage projects, they dont need to view reports, the dont need to manage favorites because finding anything is so frickin confusing, they dont use ClickUp to manage their Inbox GTD style. 3 views in a basic navigation bar. Look at this website, its nothing more and nothing less than what I need to provide feedback.
How I know something is very wrong is that even the Devs that I have forced this on are struggling to navigate their tasks through ClickUp. We have taken to just using 1 kanban board view per project tagged as favorites, which is basically just Trello?
I picked ClickUp because I thought it struck a balance between Trello and Jira, but having used it now I find there isnt enough isolation of concerns.

Admin: Great context and I agree we need to get better here. We've got a new 'home' view coming soon, and after we get feedback/data on that we'll use it to provide a very simple guest experience. We're focused on making things simple this Summer! Thanks for your patience.
