When I paste a ClickUp task link into a document, chat, or comment, it only shows the task name or a raw URL. This loses important context — especially in large workspaces where task names are reused or don’t clearly explain where the task lives.
I’m requesting an option to include the task’s full path (e.g. “List Name / Task Name”) when copying or pasting a link. For example, instead of just pasting:
Finalize Campaign Brief → https://share.clickup.com/abc123
it would show:
Marketing / Finalize Campaign Brief → https://share.clickup.com/abc123
or rendered as a hyperlink:
Marketing / Finalize Campaign Brief (linked to the task)
This would provide instant clarity about the task’s context, reduce back-and-forth when collaborating across teams, and save time switching back to ClickUp to check where a task lives.
It would be great to have this as a toggle option in the “Copy Link” or “Share” menu — something like “Include List Name in Link Text.”
It would also be helpful if pasted links could unfurl with this info in platforms like Slack, Notion, or Gmail.
One small feature like this could make a big impact on usability and internal communication.
