Show comments of all tasks of a list in one place
René
Can we please have the option to show the comments of all talks of a list in one view in a chronological order?
The use case behind the request: that way it would be possible to see the history and past development of a topic/list. Therefore it would be ideal if we could also opt to include the comments of closed tasks and indicate for every comment which task it initially was attached to.

Now with the New chat, this can be much more streamlined.

Same with mail!😭🙏 The conversation stays on that task that triggers the email and we need to send responses in the same thread as the project progresses. Returning to the original task is not practical at all for the team. We need access to the same mail thread in all the tasks!

I don't think it will be difficult mission as we already have the option to leave comments on the top level of each list and @ people.
ClickUp Team, please get this done soon~

Plus 1 on this feature request! Any updates from ClickUp on whether this will be implemented?
We've used another task manager that shows all commentary for a given task in chronological order, and this makes it much easier to keep track of what happened when.
One thing that's causing major confusion on our team is that comments on images are not displayed in the task commentary (but they do show up in notifications). Once a user clears their notifications, it can be very hard to find older comments that may be buried on images. Would be much easier/better to have the option to view all comments related to a task. Ideally, this would be a view that could be toggled on/off.

New users of ClickUp get an email Notification, it takes them to the Task/Subtask, they read the conversation and add a Comment. Then they exit ClickUp, return to their email and delete the email. Later they wonder where their comment is and where the Task/Subtask is. So they want see all the places the have added a Comment, just to find the things they previously added. They are already Watchers of all Tasks.
Here is a workaround for not having the functionality to satisfy their desires. I am adding this here in case it might help ClickUp Development with a solution.
Workaround1:
Go to the Notifications view. In each of the New view and the Cleared view do the following:
- Scroll down to the bottom of the Notifications list, either to the end of the list or at least far enough down to display all of the Notifications you want to search. I don't know of any other way to display ~all~ of the Notifications. Each subview (New and Cleared) will only display the top 20 or so, so you will need to scroll down to display more...all the way down to display all. If you don't scroll down far enough the next step will not find what you are looking for.
- Use your browser find feature (Ctrl-f or similar) and search for your name.
You should find each line that says <your name> commented. These are all of the places you added a comment (in this subview).
- Repeat for the other subview.
This is only practical if you do not have an excessively large number of Notifications yet, or if you only need to look back in time a relatively short period.
