Show attachments in list view by default
Geoff Ball
I would like to be able to view attachments in list view by default (instead of tile view).

Agreed and upvoting: Either show in list view by default, or allow us to set that function as a default on our end. And any attachments added (whether within a task or via the list) should show globally, regardless of how you're viewing.

My biggest issue with ClickUp in general is that there are areas that seem to have the same function, but are slightly different. That means workflows can be confusing since it's not clear what information should go where (e.g. should I assign an action item in a checklist, or create a sub task, or assign a comment?). Not having this simple feature creates the same confusion when you have attached docs vs linked docs. In certain workflows, I find it easier to have people create a new doc as an attachment and apply a template. But now it's not easily seen in the list view so they have to link the doc as well. And now I've got a jumble of "connections" from this task to a doc.

This is the only thing I don't like about this program. I have gotten around it by adding all lists to Folders to add them to the resource page. However, that only created duplication.

I think you should accelerate this possibility. It is not an "esthetic" functionality but it is fundamental. Many times with my team we review the task and it is important to see briefs, or excel spreadsheets or presentations together and it would be relevant to see them in the task, not having to leave it and then have to come back.

I work with seeing everything in list form. It gives me quick access to my To Do's and Tasks. I would like to be able to jump from one thing to another quickly. But I just realized that if I suddenly come up with something that I need to add to an attached document to a task, I am having to open the task, to page view, then scroll down to find attached documents, and open it there just to add say two or three words! It makes it a whole task on to itself, because then having to go back to my full task list... it doesn't make sense to me because tasks inherently have attached things that are needed to perform the task, and precisely one of the options is a document created inside that task. so accessing it quickly in list view would be very helpful. Like a drop down of the documents one has attached to that Task, so one can open the needed doc quickly. Thanks..... I hope you'll consider this.

This feature, to be able to have attachments show in List view, rather than from only in the task, was requested on a Coaching Call.

Attachments can already be added to a list, but there's no way to view all lists and its attachments, unless you open one by one, and then open the list details and check the small attachments one by one.
I would like to be able to add 3+ images to each list, and also be able to view them easily (screenshots of the app).

This would definitely be ideal... I don't understand why there is technically a attachments field on every task but I have to create a custom field in order to see it on list view. It should be a hidden field like comments or status often is and we have the option to reveal it...

Add attachments indicator at the top level of the list view would be helpful.
