Shift Dates in Bulk (when tasks aren't dependent on each other)
Justin Mosebach
Let's say a website project gets set back 2 weeks. I don't want to have to manually change all start dates and end dates.
I know that dependencies and sub-tasks solve part of the problem, but sometimes, there are tasks that aren't dependent on (or related to) each other. Ex. Google Analytics config and CDN settings can be done at the same time (they're not "related" to each other).
It'd be awesome if we could reschedule/shift an entire folder/list start and/or due dates back/forward a certain number of days or weeks. That way, we wouldn't have to adjust things manually every time a client delays something ;)

Adding my vote! We need this feature

Totally agree! I use the remap dates functionality for folder templates, but once those dates are created, you are stuck. Often due dates shift after a project is already started from customer or supplier delays, so we need an easy way to "remap due dates" of existing task lists/folders.

I totally agree with the comments on here - Gantt view just doesnt work successfully enough. Why can't I move the parent task by a month say, and all the subtasks and those underneath them just move along at the same time. It seems a pretty basic ask I would think....

We use a "phase" structure to our process, hundreds of tasks moving independently through each phase at a different rate. I can automate the moving of the task from one phase to another easily enough by assigning it a tag, moving it to a list, applying a template, etc. once all the conditions are met. The issue is that there are times when that phase shifts a few weeks I need to update the new due date for any tasks currently in the phase accordingly. The best I can come up with is to update a template with the new dates and reapply it to all tasks in the phase. It solves the batch action problem, but it is still not automatic and a pain. If only the templates were auto-updating instead of instanced.

Yes!! Every project has the possibility for delays or date changes. The option to bulk change dates by pushing them up or back X days/weeks out is a no-brainer.

Setting status to current as of March 2023. Thanks for all the engagement here thus far - we are continuously collecting feedback and evaluating features.

Knowing that every project has unforeseen delays or changes, the ability to shift some or all of a project's tasks by a set number of days is a huge need. It astonishes me that ClickUp does not allow for this, it is a major detriment to managing complex projects. Please please please add this to your roadmap ASAP, as without it other solutions are looking a lot better.

Our teams would also REALLY appreciate this seeing as our projects tend to shift weeks VERY often and it's super annoying to have to manually change ALL the independent tasks...

I cannot believe this still is not a feature. I get so annoyed when I see adds for ClickUp claiming to save a whole workday every week - not for the project manager, when we don't have this simple feature anymore that we've had on all the "older" project management programs/systems before us. My team talks about this all the time and recommends others use different programs because of this. Please raise in your prioritization meetings.
