It would be very useful to have the ability to add a “Secondary” Date from Tasks, and Ideally Goals when they get Gantt handling, on the Timeline/Gantt Chart.
Something like a “gray” extra line that would represent the “secondary” date.
Uses:
  • You could have a Custom calculated Date Field in a Task for “anticipated End date” which would be generated from remaining estimate. If you have a task with a lot of Subtasks, this could be a rolling date as the subtasks are worked on and closed
  • A Custom Date field “anticipated completion date” that may vary from your Due Date. In this scenario, you could assign a Due Date once, and if needs adjusting, you use this Custom Date Field to put in the new, anticipated due date. Then on the Gantt you could see how a project is slipping, or not, as this “anticipated due date” moves
