Search Subtasks in Task View subtask area
Guy Mannerings
Can we please get the ability to search Subtasks in the subtasks area of Task View?
So where "Sort, Collapse All, Expand", etc, are, can we get a search icon?
Then the option to limit/include in the search Subtask names, Descriptions, and Custom Fields, like we can on List view.
Mockup attached.

I would also love a search button in Task View that searches everything inside one Task only. So not just subtasks, but all content.

My ask is slightly different than Guy's, but I think we're trying to achieve the same thing? In the main List Search, please include a toggle to include/ exclude subtasks from the search (Please set to 'include' by default. If I'm searching for something it's typically because I have zero recollection about whether the task was a parent task or a subtask...that's why I'm searching). It is incredibly frustrating to have to change the subtask view to 'Separate' in order for subtasks to be included in the search, as is currently required, just like the subtask filter. It completely interrupts the flow when going through the tasks with the team during a project status update meeting on screenshare. We all lose our place and have to waste valuable time trying to find where we were again once we're able to switch back to 'Collapsed' or 'Expanded' view.

Silke Turner Is this still your area, Michael Van Doorn, or is this Max Weiten now?
This has been an issue for a while.
It would be great to be able to choose whether or not to search subtasks in List View, as well as choose whether or not filters affect/show subtasks.
A simple toggle button saying "also apply to subtasks" would work.
