Save Filters Applied to Comments
Skyler Reeves
It would be great to be able to save the filters we apply to comments in tasks, subtasks, etc at a personal level.
I would imagine that some people may not have a particularly need to see all of the activity that occurs within a task (e.g. management/executives) and perhaps only need to see the conversations that occur.
While we can filter out this additional noise we cannot save that filter so that it will be a default for our view on all future comments within tasks, subtasks, etc.
Having the ability to do so would help reduce the work we have to do to work on work. 🥳

Totally agree, having persistent, personal comment filters would be a big productivity win, especially for roles that only need conversation context. It’s a small UX tweak that, like insights from top university advisory consultants https://dandeeconsulting.com/top-consultants-for-universities/ , shows how thoughtful systems reduce noise and let people focus on what matters.

I agree with these 1000%
...and I love your comment "Having the ability to do so would help reduce the work we have to do, to work on work."
That is ongoing struggle for us as well. Sometimes Clickup feels like a job all in itself. So any efforts to minimize this feeling...goes a long way.

After working with Jira, I was a bit surprised that the comments filtering does not save its latest state. Would be great to have it, as it is common sense.

Agreed. I don't need to see everything that was done to a task all of the time. It would be great if you could set a default to only show actual comments made by people rather than the full audit trail. The full audit trail detail only occasionally needs to be referenced and should not command the same visual space as actual collaboration with team members.

This came up at work for me today. A colleague pointed out that the comments section just gets way too cluttered, and it's just not that fun to have to filter each time you open a task. If you could save the filter for everyone in a similar way you can with Views, this would be awesome and hopefully something easy for Clickup to implement!
