Save all new emails including replies to a task
Benjamin
Need the ability to save an email once to a task & then all new emails & replies are then saved automatically into the task.
Right now if have to manually save clients replies into ClickUp each time we get a reply or send another email in the same string. If not on desktop this also means the emails don't get saved into ClickUp until next on Chrome desktop.

We want this in order to make a task be a CRM contact. With the email integration today, you'd need to send an email FROM clickup in order to have that email conversation inside the task automatically. Though it's possible to use the chrome extension, I'd like all emails with a contact between any team member (with their email integrated into Clickup) automatically be saved in the 'task of that contact'.

Import new email into task, if thread was previously forwarded to this task

Currently ClickUp will only automatically import new emails into a task, if I have sent or replied to this email from within ClickUp.
In some cases I only import an email conversation (in which I was only CC) into a task. I would like all email that are related to the first imported email, to be imported into the task, too.
PS: I am using Outlook. Don't know if the feature is already available for Gmail.

Ivan Villa I see that there's official gmail support in the ClickUp Chrome Extension now. However, the extension doesn't seem to offer the sort of integration that's requested here.
When gmail receives replies to an email thread linked to a ClickUp Tasks, these new replies don't seem to end up in clickup automatically. Is this forthcomming or am I missing something?

Johannes Rudolph: Hey Johannes! It's just the level of integration we currently have. We are working to build a new better integration but are going through the process of getting approved by Google. It's been a few months and looks like we have a few more months to go.

Ivan Villa: So glad to hear this in the works - it's an important feature! I think my work around, for anyone else that has this issue, will be to paste the email's URL into my ClickUp Task, so I can just access it quickly that way.

Zeb Ivan Villa Is this planned anywhere as I thought it was but cannot find it anywhere.

Benjamin: Hey Benjamin! Hmm I thought I saw this requested as well but maybe it was just a comment on a thread. Either way, we are working on a native integration with gmail (I assume thats what you are using) which will give us more control in how we integrate :)
Benjamin
Ivan Villa: Ah well as long as it is on the radar, will it be a Gmail add on?
We use G Suite but support a lot of clients on Office 365 & I know they will want the higher level of email integration too.
I’ve uploaded a screenshot of how the email save works with Capsule CRM. Sadly Google don’t support add ons on the iPad gmail app..

Benjamin: Correct! we are looking at making it an add-on, there are some extra steps we have to take with Google to make this happen, hence why its taking longer than usual.
Benjamin
Ivan Villa: Yer I know there are just a few hoops to jump through.
Will Microsoft 365 / Outlook integration stay level with the integration of G Suite?
