Planning begins well beyond 60 days and getting alignment on those events needs to happen. Why the app should decide to impose a limitation on visibilty in people's calendars of 60 days is boggling. If individuals want to impose that limitation put that flexibility in the tool, but don't make the decision for your users on what should and shouldn't get synced. Allow for more customization so the owner can impose their own restrictions on what period of time gets synced to their calendars.
