Reminders
complete
In a busy world like ours, it's nearly impossible to get away from notifications. The trick to successfully cutting through the noise is managing those notifications effectively.
Our reminder system will make it easy for you to manage your action items in ClickUp without having to worry about when to complete them.

This is a super important feature. Globally set reminders are just not the right way to do this! I need to be able to select the notifications by task, otherwise, I am going to get tons of notifications I don't want and/or get them on the wrong schedule. Some tasks, I want to be notified a few days or a week ahead of time, others, a day or two ahead of time, or even on the due date. Global settings by user is just a short cut by ClickUp and that doesn't cut it! If this feature exists, I have not been able to find it.

Is this one implemented yet everyone? Cos it's marked as complete

At the moment I'm using TickTick as a reminder app and I'm loving it: simple to use, does what it is supposed to do, and has enough features for those who want more than just a basic reminder.
A few weeks ago I started to use ClickUp as a project management application. Honestly, I'm loving it too. It's just that I was hoping that, with this "One app to replace them all", I could unsubscribe from TickTick and start to use ClickUp as a reminder system. Now, that was a big disappointment. Sorry guys...
In a way, I can understand that reminders and notifications are treated as different concepts in ClickUp, but I miss reminders that (1) pop-up when they are supposed to pop-up, (2) pop-up on Android, even when not online, nor logged in to ClickUp, (3) can be setup easily on tasks, recurrent and with multiple pop-ups on different moments before due date, ... Well, have a look at TickTick, you'll understand what I'm talking about. If you can include similar functionality into ClickUp I'm willing to upgrade my current subscription to have even more functionality at my disposal.

How do we set an actual pop-up notification for a task???

I'm very confused about reminders and notifications. They seem to be separate things. Reminders seem to exist independent of tasks and can't be attached to them. So, I'm not sure what their purpose is. Notifications are global and can't be set on a per-task basis, which is super problematic. Todoist has a great reminder/notification system that I'm missing here in Clickup. I just don't understand how either of these features, as currently set up, are useful. They seem overly complicated. I just want to be able to create a task or a list, and tell Clickup when to notify/remind me of it, and it's probably different for each task/list. I don't want to have to be reminded of every single task at some arbitrary set point before or after a due date. I also don't want to have to create a separate reminder for a task I've already created that doesn't even link to that task - that's an extra step and extra work for something that should be with the task to begin with. Unless I'm missing something, or I'm not setting them up/interacting with them properly?? So confused.

I work in clinical research and I have set up reminders to notify me when certain documents will be expired e.g. doctor's medical license, GCP certificates etc. I set up a test to see if I would get an email notification for these reminders but it didn't work. Is this not available with Click-up or I just didn't set it up correctly?

Look at TickTick for a world class reminder system.

Is there any progress being made regarding how we can get notified for certain reminders that we have set? I have dug in notification settings already, and the only way to be notified is through mobile for now. Any news for Desktop and Web?
Zeb
Teddy Be: Desktop notifications are available (and through your browser!)

Zeb: I have set up reminders but what are the steps to get the notifications through your browser?

What I find very surprising is that you can't use the ## shortcut in reminders to link to a clickup task. This seriously reduces the functionality to me.

Are notifications only possible on reminders, not tasks?
