Relationships: Allow List to List relationships to be maintained when a task is duplicated or moved.
Alex Howard
Currently, if you have a relationship created by using the option 'task from a specific List', this relationship will disappear if you move the task to another List or duplicate the task.
Allow these List to List relationships to be maintained when the task is moved or duplicated.

This needs to be developed. If I had known this wasn't possible, I would have developed my system differently.

I would also love having this.

I would like to request the ability to keep List-to-List relationships when tasks are moved or duplicated. In my CRM setup, relation fields between Leads, Deals, Accounts, and Contacts are lost when tasks are moved, which disrupts the workflow and requires manual re-entry of data.
This feature would be highly valuable for anyone managing interconnected data across lists, helping save time and avoid errors. Please consider adding this functionality to improve task management.

Critically needed option to preserve relationships when moving a task.

This is a serious problem for us, because we relate our operations to the tasks that generate reports for our clients and every month we lose the relationship from the previous month. It would be great if this problem were solved and our automations didn't leave us with manual and not very quick work to adjust relationships that already existed before duplicating.

Critical feature for us as well. We have multiple relationship fields on a task, each relating to specific lists with their own important rollup fields. With nearly 70 lists (each customer/brand), it's nearly impossible to maintain consistency without those relationships coming through inherit or template.
Every time we add a new list or our template changes, I have to reset all the relationship & rollup fields individually!! 5 relationship fields + 53 rolllup fields x 70 lists = ☠️☠️☠

This is a very critical feature for us.
Context:
We have created Epic --> User Story relation to group all the related stories under one Epic. All the Epics reside in Epics list and all the user stories gets created initially Backlog. The stories then gets moved either in sprint folders or the Kanban list for further development. But the moment I move these story tasks to another list, I loose the whole Epic mapping and I have to start all over again.
Once the relationship is created, it must follow with the Task everywhere at least in the same Space. Hope ClickUp team makes this happen.

I just lost years worth of data because i moved tasks from one board to another, this feature is really needed in the case that users are trying to do major changes

such an important function, there should at least be an official comment from a representative of the platform

I have the same problem, when I have to move some tasks to other list the relationship disappears, the task is still linked to the other task from the specific list, but I can't see it anymore.
It would be great if it was possible to create relationship related to tasks from specific list but at a space level, so I can use this same relationship field in others lists.
My context:
We have a list with all of our clients with all the information we need about them, so with use this list as the specific list. We also have different lists we the requests those clients asks, like improvements and reported bugs, so we created to each list this relationship with that specific list, but when we move tasks they don't show anymore and everytime that we want to add this relationship at a new list we have to create it again.
