Ditto here. Major issue! Clients need visibility into overall status, but not visibility into "how the sausage is made." Subtasks names can be very confusing to a client, and they don't always need to see all the steps - just the main task, status, progress, etc.

This is a pretty serious problem for us! We use public views as client facing task lists. This allows our clients to see our progress on the work we're completing for them. Our public view is filtered to only show tasks when a checkbox is checked on a task. Meaning we can designate which tasks the client can see and which they cannot. If you check the main task, all subtasks are shown, even if not ticked.
