Hi Lily Chan!
When I started using ClickUp I was excited to get to know the tool and started to try the existing templates... without realizing that every templates I was checking out (and applying) were counting down all the features' uses that were limited on my plan!
I wish I could have seen it before, and eventually remove these options before applying the template.

I would want to be able to preview all parts of the task and any related checklists/subtasks in order to ensure WYSIWYG when the task template is applied. Being able to exclude or include specific custom fields would also be ideal.

We need this. It would also be ideal if we could choose whether to create or exclude new custom fields when applying a template. We're currently cleaning up a mess of custom fields created by users adding templates and many were never even used.

We would want to see all the tasks and subtasks to ensure that's the template we want to use. It's odd that it isn't already standard when you are trying to choose which template to use.

It would be extremely helpful if ClickUp provided a clear, visual preview of exactly how a template would appear once applied, including the specific fields and their layout.
Right now, users have to rely on trial and error or memory, which makes creating and saving templates unnecessarily difficult and error prone.
A true visualization saving during the saving process would significantly streamline template creation, ensuring accuracy without requiring meticulous cross-checking.

there's more, but definitely
- custom fields featured
- task list
- dependencies
- dates
- default views
- automations
