Agreed, there's currently too much friction involved with navigating around the basics like inbox. On the left sidebar, whenever you use the search bar at the top, it removes or hides the inbox link. There is no other inbox link that I am aware of or can see in the navigation, even when customising the navigation.
Often I use the search on the left to narrow down the options to filter the options, but then I can't get to the inbox without having to go and clear the search and click on the link. Obviously I can do a keyboard shortcut Command+K and type in "inb" for example to just quickly hit Enter and go to the inbox, but it's just kind of annoying that the link to the inbox gets inaccessible just by using the search function for me.
Thanks in advances devs!

Add Inbox, My Tasks to Global Navigation
David Rahija
Allow pinning anything from the Home menu to Global Navigation. I don't hardly use any of the top level features, almost everything I do is now embedded in the Home Sidebar, which means I either leave it open taking up precious real estate on the screen, or I have to click into home before I can navigate to where I want to go. Being able to directly jump to Inbox, Favorites, My Tasks would be a much more efficient use of my time and screen space.

This is my biggest gripe with 4.0. The ability to add "My tasks" and "Inbox" to the global navigation bar will speed up the workflow for our team.

Move Inbox to the Primary (Global) Sidebar Under Home
Abraham Gluck
In ClickUp 4.0, Inbox currently lives inside the Home panel, which is the second sidebar. This works only when I’m already on Home.
However, when I’m working deeper inside Spaces, Folders, or Lists, my focus is on the primary (far-left) sidebar. At that point, Inbox is no longer immediately accessible, and I have to navigate back to Home just to reach it.
Inbox is a global command center for comments, mentions, and things that need attention. Because of that, it should live in the primary sidebar, directly under Home, alongside other global navigation items.
Having Inbox in the main sidebar would make it accessible at all times, regardless of where I am in the workspace, and would significantly reduce friction for users who rely heavily on comments and collaboration throughout the day.

+1 Inbox should be at the root level of hierarchy in the system and persistent across all UI.
It should either be in the Sidebar or it should be in the top toolbar alongside the search bar.

100% ! You can favourite everything else and pin to the top bar - but not My Tasks and other home views. A no brainer and surely not hard to implement

I switched back to 3.0 because of this.
