2 way sync for Google Calendar
planned
Yahu
Hi There! I see all the tasks that I have planned for my day on the top of my calendar on the section "All day" and that is great! however, there are several things that would be great to fix and improve, see my notes below:
- when I mark tasks done, the tasks showing in my calendar don't go away. they stay there. if it is a 2 way sync, when I mark something done or moved to another day etc, It should reflect in my calendar, right?
- Any meetings I add under google calendar or that my team adds, they don't over to the calendar in click up. and even when I adjust the time of a task to be done specifically, like it is not updated in the CU Calendar...
am I missing something maybe? let me know. thank you!

Hi all
The clickup support can't help me with my issue, but I'm wondering if someone finds a decision.
I have tasks that for no obivious reason don't sync with calendar. Clickup advice is to resync the calendar. If I resync the clickup to calendar integration - the clickup will create duplicated events that are already created by the previous sync. So I have to delete the duplicates manually.
So is there any way to resync only one task?
For example I have the task. no matter what I do (changing due and start time and dates, removing dates and waiting some time and then returning the start and due dates) - it doesn't sync to calendar. I can't create the new task with the same name, as I don't want to lose the history of comments and task activity.
Unfortuntaelly, such "bugged" tasks appears every week from time to time. And it is super unconvinient to resync calendar and manually delete the duplicated events in Google calendar. It is very frustraiting.

I was told to post here because the feature that was pitched is now relegated to a planned feature that I have to request.
I was also told to post how this would improve my workflow.
It would improve my workflow in the sense I wouldn't have to knock on a company's door to get something they already pitched, left up on their site / inside their own product, and then I can do my already assigned work.
That is how it would improve my workflow.

Hey everyone,
I am Lorin with zzBots! I believe that you can use zzBots, a third party app integration to solve this issue. zzBots provides both 1-way and 2-way real-time syncs for Google Calendar and ClickUp.
Here is a link to our 2-way sync bot pack between ClickUp and Google Calendar: https://www.zzbots.com/store/clickup-google-calendar-2-way-sync

What's obnoxious about this missing feature is that it's promoted when you try to add a calendar. I just wasted an hour trying to get this work only to find this open issue and assorted Reddit threads where ClickUp reps say it's not possible. If it's not possible, how about making that clear in the description and not leading your users astray?

Luis Ramirez: Hell yeah!

Luis Ramirez this was a make or break feature for making the decision of choosing clickup for my team. and after the setups and everything when we tried to connect google calendar we found out that it was technically a clickbait 🥲

Come on we need this, it would make a world of difference Clickup. Over 4 years and it's still just planned but you guys jumped on the AI bandwagon immediately. Please refocus guys! These are basic features that need to be done.

What is the status of this? This is now considered a basic feature and your competitors all have this functionality with no issues. This is the only feature that prevents me from using this product and introducing it at work.

Adding tasks in google calendar syncs to clickup

Often, I like to manage setting up my day by creating all my tasks in google calendar. It appears as if the 2 way sync only works for tasks created in clickup. It would be nice if clickup synced tasks that were created in google calendar.

I'm confused.. when I created my Google Calendar integration with ClickUp it said that it was a bidirectional sync.. ??
