I’d like to request an enhancement to how tasks with a Start Date and Due Date are displayed in Calendar and timeline views.

Current behavior:

When both a start date and due date are assigned, the task appears on every day between those dates.

Challenge:

For many workflows (planning, marketing campaigns, training schedules, and milestones), tasks are not actively worked on every day in that range. This behavior:

Creates visual clutter in Calendar views

Makes it harder to distinguish true daily work from milestone-based tasks

Reduces clarity when managing multiple long-range tasks

Requested improvement:

Add an optional setting to control how tasks display when both a start date and due date are set, such as:

Show task only on the start date

Show task only on the due date

Show task on both start and due dates

(Current behavior) show task on all days in between

This could be implemented as:

A per-task toggle

A per-view setting

Or a workspace-level preference

Long-term planning without daily execution
