Option to Hide Fields in Emails/Comments
Alejandro Salinas
The ability to interact with emails directly in ClickUp is fantastic, but not all team members should have access to the communication generated as comments.
It would be great to have the option to hide certain fields, either in the comment generated when an email is sent, or through a panel that allows users to set privacy preferences when using emails. For example, it would be useful to enable or disable the following options:
Option to include or exclude the email in the comment.
Option to hide the recipient in the comment for internal privacy.
Option to choose whether to accept new replies and add them as comments or not.
Option to forward the reply to another location (either an email or a task).
In my case, I use this feature with automations to notify my clients via email when specific actions take place. While ClickUp currently allows me to hide the email field, which is great, the issue arises when the email is included as a visible comment in the task once sent. This could be improved by providing more control over what’s displayed.
