Notes, Comments, Attachments, Activity Rollup to Tasks from SubTasks
Mallory Glessner
When subtasks are closed out I get constant "where is the information?" "where are the documents?" especially when the items are grayed out in the resolved graveyard. I copy everything into the SubTask. This applies to attachments especially! Would love if everything in the activity of a SubTask was automatically capture in the main Task.

Or at least provide reports to report on all comment activity (and time tracking) for the children of a chosen space, folder, subfolder, task etc.

Yes please!

It could be a useful feature, but only if it is on demand. Like there is one button on the comments to roll-up subtask comments and the same in other fields like attachments or activity.
It shouldn't be automatic but requested by the user (or automated via an automation when the task is closed for example).

This is a big one and constantly asked about in our team now - where is all the information that was put on subtasks. If you have a parent task with multiple subtasks, the parent might be empty in terms of activity, as most of the actions would be on the subs, however after they are all complete, that activity is buried and everyone is left wondering what was done on the Parent/Epic/Main task.
If Tasks are meant to be a single source of truth for a body of work, they need to be able to amalgamate the actions/activity that are done within it.

A no brainer. I often use subtasks to 'timebox' sprints on a particular Task. Time worked can already be 'rolled up'. However the ability to roll up comments to parent tasks is a must. Infact the abilty to roll up comments from subtasks to tasks to lists to spaces etc would be an invaluable tool for managers to quickly review work by the team.

This could be a major addition to v3.0. Please ClickUp, make it possible! If not a copy in the main task, maybe a switch to enable the search on every level (main and subs) at the same time would do.

This is an awesome idea! I hate digging stuff up out of the Subtasks grave yard. Upvoting for sure

For my team it's all about the attachments. Comments would be nice, but having to constantly remind people that "the creative file is in the creative subtask for that blog you are building.....yes there is a creative subtask, it's hidden under complete" Gets annoying to everyone.
