MEASURE TIME IN STATUS AUTOMATICALLY
Arthur Medeiros
I need to measure the time of an activity in the status, that is, I want to know how long that activity was in progress, I need to be able to automate the start of the stopwatch, so that the stopwatch starts when moving a task to the progress status, and that the stopwatch ends automatically when moving that task to complete.
What I want is to be able to have a view on the dashboard of how much time each responsible person is taking to do each task.

Automation to trigger on the Time Tracker when a Task Type is a bug or Tag is a bug

Currently the automation is restricted to adding certain amount of time (hours or mins) manually. It would be way more useful for SLAs if the time tracker started logging time automatically as soon as a task is marked as a bug

Track time triggered by status

Without needed third party apps it would be useful for track time to be able to be triggered by the status of the task. E.g. If i move a task from todo to in progress, the timer should start automatically, then i could move into frozen/pause status or awaiting permission, and the timer would pause. This would reduce friction drastically and make much easier to track time

Time Tracking

It would be nice to be able to create an automation that when a task status changes from x to y then start time tracking; when status changes from y to z, stop tracking time

Start or stop time recording automatically
Denis Berkay Tekin
It would be very useful if you could automate the time recording to start or stop.

how is this not implemented yet? a fairly simple object for a project management platform is also managing time...

Please support "Start/stop timer for: Person who triggered." For team workflows, running the timer under the Automation owner is not sufficient. When a member changes a task to IN PROGRESS or QA IN PROGRESS, the timer must be logged against that member’s own ClickUp profile. This should work natively without requiring separate OAuth tokens, external integrations, or consuming multiple Automation actions per status change.

This would be great! It's becoming a showstopper for me. I've currently had to subscribe to EverHour to get this and it's really, really expensive. At the moment, I'm paying £22 per month for ClickUp but EverHour are charging me £38 per month for an app that doesn't do anywhere near as much as ClickUp does at over 72% more cost. You can only use the Stop/Start timer buttons in the browser too, not in the ClickUp app.

It will be good to start the timer from the automation and also stop the timer from the automation.
