This is currently not possible via automation, zapier or even API integration! The functionality I am specifically looking for is that when I create a task, for a document (or sub doc) to be created and annexed to the task I just created. I understand this would require quite a few steps, and quite a bit of multi-layer functionality, but currently there isnt even an option to create a new document via autiomation, zapier or even the API.

It would be useful to have a way to automatically create a document when a task is created. I am attempting to use documents as a "source of truth" documentation for a project, and would like to link the documents to a task, such that the status informs a user about the state of the document. To make sure the tasks and docs are always coupled, it would be useful to have an automation that does this.

User has a recurring task and wants each recurrence to also create a new attached doc based off a template.
Use Case: The tasks represent assignments that students must fill out every X days. The assignment is written in an attached doc that is made from a response sheet doc template. When the task recurs, the students should automatically have a new doc attached with the template format, but none of the information from the form in the prior recurrence.

I want to be able to create a page in a document that contains the notes for that task. So when a 'Webinar/Event' Task type is created it creates a page in our general team information area so we can take notes.

Huge +1 to Doc Templates! This would be huge for our workflows.

We create a new doc each week for weekly meetings that build off the previous week's. Right now, I can't have the document scheduled to automatically create either duplicating from the previous week or creating a new one but using a template. Creating a blank document via zapier isn't helpful so it manual each week.
