I agree, this is absolutely no brainer, this is most basic example:
Backend -> Complaice
Backend -> Execution
Frontend -> Web
Frontend -> Android

PLEASE!! This is absolutely key to REAL large complex projects that require visibility at different levels. 
This is also instrumental to be available in every type of view: List, Gantt, Timeline and Board (the only one that already has it. Would be nice to add 1-3 more levels)
This has ben a Feature Request for 5 yrs now so not holding my breath.

+1 to this. Would be so useful to be able to group first by Task Type, then inside that by Status. Right now you can only achieve this with a lot of manually created messy automations to try and sync task type with a certain status, then to group by status.

yes please do. This is mega blocker in ability to create clarity when complexity arises, which is a normal evolution of any successful project!
At least a second level of group by, this would already be game changer:
Group by "status" + group by "custom field" 
Boom.

Yes, please do this! It's a game changer for all the EAs who use ClickUp.

If we have second level grouping in Workload and Timeline will be a GAME CHANGER! This is something we have in our old Project Management System - ftrack and it worked really really well!
