Given that @assign is the only realistic way for individuals to know they've been mentioned in a document comment - why is this not assigning each individual that is mentioned in the comment?

A sorely lacking feature - not a lot of purpose to @mentions if the individuals cant be notified. Really lacking to have to repeat every comment for every required individual because of this missing feature.

We would love to make this happen.

Yes, yes, YESSSSS!!!! We definitely would benefit from this. With multiple people on our team all working on the same task, going back through the comments and @mentions is exhausting! We have to repeatedly "clean up" the task comments to get rid of comments and mentions that have already been dealt with. It would be so nice to be able to mark comments as resolved, or at least assign to multiple people so they can mark resolved when they complete their part of whatever is needed. Thanks!!

I agree. Now, a comment could include a summary of a chat where a few next actions are identified, and these can be for different people. So, having multiple assigness would be useful.

At the moment, when this happens, I have to spread the text over several comments.

I think this would be a really useful feature, sometimes there is a comment than several people can answer and we need the fastest response possible from whoever can answer the question

We'd like this feature for our Board of Directors to know when it's time to make comment on a resolution. Certainly requesting comment from more than one person would be valuable in many situations.
